Although we were not able to attend the first game due to our commitment to the Pistons on 10/28, we will attend any future playoff games. On November 10 and 17, we will hold auditions again for any students that might not have been able to audition due to marching band schedules or are just now deciding they might want to be part of a youth orchestra program. If you/your student hasn't already secured a ticket for this event, please do so as soon as possible. 2) Friends and Family are encouraged to join us for this performance! Friends and family tickets are available for $25 each. This year's event will be held on Friday, January 13 – Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Clarkston High School. Each student selected after being nominated by their director will be required to pay a non-refundable $60 participation fee. This fee, due by Monday, December 12, 2022, covers Saturday lunch and dinner, guest conductor honoraria, mailing and copy costs, All-District t-shirt, and a participation medal. ALL SCHS Bands students are encouraged to participate! If you wish to be nominated for this, be sure to complete the registration information on page 5 this document and turn in to Mrs. Staniszewski by Tuesday, October 25th. RCS Fingerprinting Open House Convenient fingerprinting services are available by appointment Oct. 12-13 for Rochester Community Schools volunteers who anticipate being overnight chaperones, volunteer coaches or extended field trip assistants during the school year. Oakland Schools will provide Livescan fingerprinting at the RCS Administration Building located at 52585 Dequindre Road in Rochester. Michigan State University Clarinet Extravaganza MSU will once again host it's Clarinet Extravaganza on Sunday October 16th, with special guest clinician Bryan Conger from Interlochen Center for the Arts. The day will include masterclasses, All State / solo and ensemble clinic, and a joint recital. Meridian Winds, our local music shop, will also have a booth and will be happy to help anyone with clarinet maintenance and minor repair needs.
