The school year may not have officially begun yet, but we are getting into high gear! Here are our updates for the coming week.
MARCHING BAND Monday, August 31st This is the day the "Camp T-shirt" order information will go out. Keep an eye out for a separate email! 8-10:30AM: Make Up Registration for any 9th -12th Grade. Registration will take near the Auditorium 9:45AM: DL meets at Hugger to perform at their Welcome Back, wearing their grey drumline shirt. 5:45PM: MB Rehearsal (Initial uniform inspections will happen throughout this rehearsal.) Friday, September 4th: 1st Home Game (vs Oxford) *Parent voluneers are NEEDED FOR THIS GAME; Please CLICK HERE ! *Please also be sure to have a good dinner prior to arrival. Apples & water will be provided during the game. 5:00 pm: Marchers arrive at SCHS and get into full uniform. (Black shoes & long, black socks: no-show socks are NOT allowed. Socks must be long enough to fully cover ankles) 6:10pm: Outside for Uniform Inspection, Warm-Up, & Circle. 6:30pm: Leave SCHS band room and march to the stadium for pre-game performance and halftime. 7:00pm: Game Begins; Game will likely end between 9:30-10:00pm. For those also looking to get a heads-up on the beginning of the school year logistics, here are the syllabi for the concert ensembles this year: We will also be utilizing Google Classroom in all of our ensembles this year to facilitate transfer of materials, communications, etc. New for this year, each ensemble will have a virtual space through Google to submit assignments, Chamber Music Project materials, as well as a space to ask questions and have discussions. Students should visit classroom.google.com and use the following codes to join: Concert Band: ief2qqu Symphony Band: f5hfx93 Wind Ensemble: i069dxj Also continuing from last year, we will utilize TodaysMeet.com to hold in class discussions. Students may find it beneficial to bookmark these pages, as we utilize them regularly.
