Looking ahead, we have another big festival event coming up this weekend: State Solo & Ensemble, right here at Stoney Creek! This is a major event and HUGE honor for us to host each year; we have a tradition of excellence in hosting this prestigious event and we need YOUR help to keep the tradition alive! Please read on below for more information about how you can help!
Upcoming Dates at a Glance:
MSBOA State Solo & Ensemble: Saturday, March 16, 2019 Stoney Creek Bands has a tradition of excellence in being invited to host MSBOA's State Solo & Ensemble for the last 15+ years, and we once again look forward to hosting this important qualifying event this year! This is a huge honor to be asked to host, as we will be playing host to over 30 area high schools and their top musicians for this great event. Because of the size and importance of this event, we need all hands on deck to ensure it is successful! ALL SCHS Band Students must sign-up for at least volunteer spot. Sign-ups are available on the bulletin board outside of the band room. We are also in need of as many parents as possible to volunteer, donate goods, or both. Please help us continue our tradition of excellence in hosting this prestigious event! Our Sign-Up for parents/adults can be found by clicking here. If you are a soloist in grades 10-12 performing at State S&E, you will need to prepare a proficiency level to perform along with your solo (scales and sightreading). More information about proficiency levels and scales may be found by clicking here. Jazz Band Please note: There will be NO AM Jazz rehearsals this week due to SCHS hosting District Choral Festival on March 13 & 14th. We have a timeline for our MSBOA Jazz Band Festival performance, which will be on Friday, March 22nd at Utica Eisenhower HS. Please click here for more details on our performance timeline.
