State Solo & Ensemble: Saturday, March 17, 2018 We once again have the privilege of hosting the MSBOA State Solo & Ensemble Festival this year! This is an honor to be asked once again, as we will be playing host to over 30 area high schools and their top musicians for this great event. This is very important stewardship opportunity for our band and our community. To ensure we have a successful event, we need all hands on deck. ALL SCHS Band Students need to sign-up to volunteer. Student sign-ups can be found here: https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/4090a4fabad29a02-2017 If you are a soloist in grades 10-12 performing at State S&E, you will need to prepare a proficiency level to perform along with your solo (scales and sightreading). More information about proficiency levels and scales may be found by clicking here. Parents, State S&E needs you too! Over the last ten years, SCHS has developed a reputation as one of the top sites for MSBOA State S&E by participating schools, directors, judges, and MSBOA officials from across the state of Michigan. But in order for this to continue, we need YOU! Our goal is to have every parent and student that visits our school for S&E to share what a well organized and enjoyable event it was. This is our opportunity to showcase not only our outstanding music program, but our school, and our community as well. Please sign up and join us!
