Yes, this weekly update covers slightly more than a week, but with all the excitement about to begin with a new year, there's plenty to look forward to as we look ahead! MARCHING BAND MB Attendance Policy Reminder: As we head into the school year, please note that attendance is required for all MB rehearsals and events. Marching Band is truly one of the ultimate team activities; when one person is absent and a hole is left in their spot or their part is not performed, our show is not as effective. We at our best only when every member is present. If a student is not able to attend any rehearsal or event, advanced notice needs to be given in writing (e-mail) to Mrs. Staniszewski for it to be excused. Unexcused tardies and absences may result in the lowering of a student's grade and/or being asked to sit out from a performance. For those also looking to get a heads-up on the beginning of the school year logistics, here are the syllabi for the concert ensembles this year: We will also be utilizing Google Classroom so that each ensemble will have a virtual space through Google to submit assignments, Chamber Music Project materials, as well as a space to ask questions and have discussions. Students should visit classroom.google.com and use the following codes to join: Concert Band: ief2qqu Symphony Band: f5hfx93 Wind Ensemble: i069dxj Also continuing from last year, we will utilize TodaysMeet.com to hold in class discussions. Students may find it beneficial to bookmark these pages, as we utilize them regularly. The links for each ensemble are: Concert Band: todaysmeet.com/schscb Symphony Band: todaysmeet.com/schssb Wind Ensemble: todaysmeet.com/schswe As hectic as the beginning of the school year can be, please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
