Many thanks to all who came out to perform for Friday's Playoff Game! Here's what's going on in the Band Room this week and beyond... Our Primary Instrument Work Unit 2 Final Performance will be due Tuesday, November 10th! Parents and family members are encouraged to have your student perform for you at home what they have been working on for our classes! We have also started our Composition Projects to create short chamber pieces for our middle school musicians at Hart MS. We will be continuing to work on these throughout the coming weeks before sending them over to the Hart MS bands to work on during second semester. We will have some members of our SCHS Bands performing to honor our Veteran's on Wednesday at a special flag raising ceremony for Veteran's Day. The ceremony will be livestreamed for those interested in viewing! Stay tuned to Rochester Community Schools on your preferred social media outlets for more information. The SCHS Varsity Football team will once again host a playoff game on Friday, November 13th. We are still awaiting approval for pep band participation. Please stay tuned here and on our own social media accounts for more details to be announced upon confirmation. Calling All SCHS Band Alumni & Family Members for some Sleigh Ride fun! Per tradition, we will once again be studying and playing Sleigh Ride in the coming weeks. If you are a family member who plays an instrument and/or SCHS Band alumni interested in participating in an upcoming collaboration with the SCHS Bands and this piece, please e-mail Mrs. Staniszewski for details! We would love to get as many alumni, family and friends of the SCHS Bands as we can get!
