We kick off a holiday spirit wear sale to debut our new SCHS Music Department Logo (for choir and band!), DSO trip ticket orders are due, Grand Traverse Pie vouchers/$ are due, all our large chamber ensembles get under way this week, along with our end of season concert celebration and Village Tree Lighting for the Cougar Marching Band! Here are all the details in this week’s update: Detroit Symphony Orchestra Trip Experience DSO ticket orders are due on Wednesday, 11/15! Mrs. Irons is still accepting orders this week, and will be at the EOY Marching Band Celebration Wednesday night if anyone would like to turn in DSO ticket orders at that event. There is still plenty of room on the bus. A list of everyone who bought tickets will be sent out on Nov 16th to confirm orders received. Fundraiser Our Pie fundraiser/sale ends November 16th. 700 vouchers were passed out and or sold during the week of October 16-20th so we would appreciate it if you are not going to sell the vouchers that your students brought home October 16th to please turn them. Music Department Spiritwear Holiday Sale The SCHS Music Department is very excited to debut our new logo! To celebrate, we will be holding a short spiritwear sale featuring name brand items with our new artwork. To place an order, please visit our online spiritwear website which will be available and publicized early next week. Orders will be accepted until 11:59pm on Friday, November 17th in order to ensure delivery before Christmas. Concert Ensembles Large Chamber Ensembles Our large chamber ensembles rehearsal schedules are set and posted on our Google Calendar! If you have any questions about which group you have been assigned, please ask your respective group director. Please note: your attendance at these rehearsals are part of your chamber music project grade and are required. If you need to be absent, you must notify your director in advance (less than 24 hours notice is not acceptable), and all music department attendance policies apply.
