Happy New Year!
As we look ahead to 2021, we have much more music to make. Our next Primary Instrument Work (PIW) Unit will focus on Solo Literature. Students who elect to participate in MSBOA Solo & Ensemble are encouraged to use their PIW work for Solo & Ensemble without needing to find a second piece. Also, students electing to participate in MSBOA Solo & Ensemble will have a number of PIW assignments waived/exempted to focus more fully on preparing and performing for their Solo & Ensemble experience. If you/your student wishes to participate in Solo & Ensemble, more information can be found below. Anyone needing assistance in finding a solo is also encouraged to ask Mrs. Staniszewski for assistance as soon as possible. Concert Band, Symphony Band, and Wind Ensemble will continue working on and completing our Chamber Music Composition projects. The final products (PDFs, all parts, files, and audio) will be due on Friday, January 15th. Jazz Band will continue working on their Solo Transcription Projects. Final performances and written transcriptions will be due on Wednesday, January 13th. MSBOA Solo & Ensemble 2021 MSBOA will be holding a Virtual Solo & Ensemble for this year.
