State Solo & Ensemble is coming up on Saturday, March 18th! We are very excited to be hosting State Solo & Ensemble for the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association this year! This prestigious event hosts student musicians from over 30 area high schools who earned top ratings at the District S&E events earlier in the year, and who may move on to receive top honors and scholarships from MSBOA. We have a tradition of hosting this event at Stoney annually, and while we haven't been able to host since 2019 due to the COVID pandemic, we are very excited that this event will be back in person at Stoney Creek HS again for the coming year. Because of the size and breadth of this event, all SCHS Band and Orchestra parents and students (whether or not they are performing) need to volunteer for this event to be a successful one. This has been a point of pride in our music program for many, many years and as a result, many MSBOA judges request to come to SCHS for the wonderful experiences they've had here in the past for this event. We need all-hands-on-deck! Please mark your calendars now for Saturday, March 18th and consider what time frame/opportunities might work best for you in the coming months. Some of our volunteer opportunities for this event include:
