As a HS Director, I am allowed to nominate band members (including color guard) to this event where students will participate in a typical pre-game rehearsal, parade to the stadium, halftime performance, play in the stands, and play in the traditional post-game concert. All current Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen are eligible to for nomination. If you are interested in being nominated to participate in this special event, please email Mrs. Staniszewski. Because of NCAA compliance and regulations regarding targeted recruiting of high school students, each participating student (recruit) will be charged a $77 participation fee, payable by May 15, 2020. This fee covers the cost of a game ticket, t-shirt, and lunch. While we understand that this may limit participation, we must strictly enforce and follow all NCAA guidelines. Within this compliance, we unfortunately are unable to offer any assistance to financial hardship students. Tickets for family and friends to attend the football game will be available for sale. Detailed information regarding payment will be communicated with accepted students directly on April 15. Marching Band Members! Please read on for a message from Nathan (RHS) regarding the MB Survey he is conducting/presented to us earlier this week:
For my AP Research class, I have to conduct a research study on marching bands. As a result, I will be surveying only high school students (from Stoney, Rochester, and Adams who have participated in the 2019 marching band season) about the impact of different marching band factors. I am asking for all Stoney Creek High School marching band members from the 2019-2020 season to fill out my survey, which will take around 5 minutes (or less) to complete. Although the survey is completely optional, your answers are greatly appreciated and will be kept anonymous. Here is the link to the survey: https://forms.gle/UQba4psjJfw9JQ1z9 Additionally, here is a link to the consent form required for your data to be added to the study: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1xldmtK0zwo2GNRzpTpIo7xhLV9w5Gbgt Consent forms can be printed and sent or myself <[email protected]> or Mrs. Staniszewski. These must be signed in order for me to use your survey responses in my research analysis. Please return them by February 14th (subject to change). Even if you are eighteen, you and your parent must still sign the consent forms. Additionally, the marching band students can take the survey on any device and at any time (before or after turning in the consent forms). Thank you for your assistance! Congratulations to all our District Solo & Ensemble Performers on your performances this past weekend!
